Writing Keyword Rich Articles
This is the first article in a list that goes through the way you should write and publish your articles to gain
maximum traffic for them and to your website or blog
Article marketing has been around for almost as long as the web itself. Writing good quality articles is a
sure fire way to promote your website or blog up the ladder to the top of the google cash tree.
The way to write your article is to ensure you have done your research first. Go out there onto the web and find
everything that you ant to add to your article.
You need to think longtail keywords to start with. Ther is no point at all thinking your article will get you to
the top of the tree for "Credit cards" or "Weightloss". These are great keywords that would bring in millions of
searches a year.
As you can imagine the competition for these keywords is hugh. You need to start by doing your keyword research
on wordtracker and looking for the longer keywords that fit your niche, and then building articles for your website
around them.
A lot of starters seem to think you can write any plain old article and submit it to the search engines using
software in the process which submits it to hundred of article directories. This is all well and good, and should
be tested for results. But the best way is as we show you below.
You see, slapping up an article you think is good might work, but it’s
very similar to putting up a web page you like…as opposed to one the
search engines like. That’s not smart.
The best way to submit your article is to structure it correctly. Use a good piece of software like
- Article Architect - $49
- Article Post Robot - $97
- Article Submitter Gold - Free
I have tried all 3 of these and my favourite is Article Architect. You have to do things manually with this
software, but seeing as you only want to post to around 5 major websites its by far my favourite.
When writing your article make sure you follow the correct proceedure to ensure you get traffic.
Your Keyword in Your Title is Very Important.
This is as good a place as any to talk about what keywords you
actually need to use. Which ones do you pick?
Choose keywords that are relevant to your website and will get you maximum SEO results for your effort.
When you’re looking at your website, blog or niche you need to ensure you have found the keywords where the
competition is low and you can easily grab a pice of the action.
Here’s what you’re looking for:
- Product keywords. These refer to products that people might be looking to buy, or they might be specific
product keywords.
- Desperate buyer keywords. Where the searcher is looking with the exact words to bye a product. They
are the ones most likely to get you results fast.
- Long tail keywords. What a lot of people search for are the longtail keywords. Three or more words,
which tend to get lower search volume but also don’t have to much serious competition.
Putting that all together, you really want to find long tail keywords
that desperate buyers are using to find products that they want to buy. They are nortmally out there searching for
that product that has been discounted or is on offer.
Your goal is to put these keywords into your articles to drive laser
targeted traffic to your site. You need to find those keywords that get solid search traffic each and
every day, but not with hundreds of others chasing the same keywords.
With Wordtracker and a fantastic piece of software called KRA Pro by Dr Andy Williams who produces
some pretty awsome software, you have the best chance in the world
of finding great longtail keywords.
He also provides great video's showing you exactly how to achieve this. Fully recommended and not a spam super
affiliate.
Write your articles with the longtail keywords embedded inside and watch a nice steady trickle of traffic slowly
start to come your way. Do this on a daily basis and soon you will have hundreds of people visiting your website.
Make your website readable and somewhere worth visiting and you will have people signing up to your newsletters and
returning on a regular basis.
As a example lets take a look at the xbox 360 as a product worth promoting.
Let’s say you’re promoting a product about how to fix your XBox 360 when
something goes wrong. Now promoting a product means you have found something that you think is worth selling so
that you can make a profit from it.
This may be something that you have written, or will more than likely be a affiliate product that you have found
in either
- Clickbank
- Commission Junction
- Ejunlie
- Paydotcom.com
- RegNow
or many of the others. Most are happy just to use Clickbank as they have thousands of products that offer the
affiliate a chance of making up to 70% of every sale.
So for a $60 product you could be earning around $40 for every sale you can make. The good thing about this is
that there is no comeback to you as it is not your product. You just earn a commission.
The single keyword "xbox" is not worth looking at. The chances of you getting onto the first page of google
for this time are about 10 years of hard work.
Companies pay millions of dollars to get their websites listed on these pages. However if you do a google search
and notice any Squidoo lenses or Hubpages appearing on these keyword pages, then you may well have a chance if you
follow the example that they have written.
This is a good way of getting good quality one way links back to your websites or blogs
The term xbox 360 is exactly the same. However as above, do a google search or use a special tool like
Comment Hut to determine what Squidoo Lenses are ranking well for your
keywords.
Only do this keyword research if you have the time to do so. It is far easier to concentrate on the longtail
keywords and get traffic to your articles from these words. I’m a fan of doing the laziest thing that could
possibly give me results.
So here are some other terms you might target that are more of the
product genre, desperate buyer, long tail variety:
xbox repair guide
xbox 360 repair guide
xbox 360 repair manual
fix my xbox (notice that this is more likely what somebody would search for, not fix your xbox)
- fix my xbox 360
- repair my xbox
- repair my xbox 360
- how do I repair my xbox 360
- repair guide xbox 360
- free repair guide xbox 360
I have not tried these keywords and do not know if they are good keywords, but you get the point. By using KRA
Pro and wordtracker you could find out EXACTLY which keywords are worth tracking and putting into your article.
As you can see you are using the product name in your keyword, but you’re finding the longer keywords that
should have much lower competition, and in this way you promote products that target that keyword—whether
those products are yours or somebody else’s.
Like every electronic device out there they all have problems of one type or another. XBoxes are no
different they will have some maintenance issues. They break down.
There are millions of people out there using them, so your chances of getting traffic from your articles are
very good. All you need to do then is find the product you want to promote and write your article in a readable and
professional manner.
