Top 21 Best Article Directories

Article directories are a dime a dozen. If you are going to do it the hard way, meaning you’d rather submit one at a time then focus on submitting your articles to 4 of the top 21 article directories below.

You won’t benefit from the long tail effect of submitting to the other article directories available, but you will at least hit the big ones with the highest Alexa and Google rankings.

If you decide to submit to more than 4 then you need to start to think about producing completely fresh content for your articles. Any more than 4 with the same article will vastly reduce the quality of that article and google will eventually come down on you and lower your pagerank.

There is free software out there to help you to submit to article directories. By all means use it, but do NOT get into the habit of posting the same article to to many directories.

Personally I just use 4. I submit each article by hand so that I can see if there are any known issues or problems with the article. I also make sure that my details for the author and my keywords are correctly inserted.

Just a simple mistake like this can cost you hundreds of possible subscribers or good quality traffic. Make sure your link works correctly and that your main keywords are part of your link. This is vitally important if you want to promote your article correctly.
