What Do I Really Need To Get Started

Starting your own internet business can be very expensive if you follow the crowd and get it wrong. So many people out there jump onto the next best thing listening to all the hype and bull and believe that they will be making thousands within weeks all on an automated system.

I have watched videos from internet marketers that last over an hour telling you how simple it is to set up this and that system and get to the top of the google page rankings within 7 days for your keywords. This is all hype. You may well get to the top very a longtail keyword but maintaining that place for longer than a couple of days requires knowledge and skill. Goolgw will list every website that is on the web.You may be lucky enough to get on the first page when you start. This happens a lot, but take a look again 3 or 4 days later when google has reviewed your site and it will have vanished without trace unless google can see that it is a solid platform.

The best that you can do is take a back seat for 3 months and look at what is around you. There are lots of quality products out there for good money that will help you to build a good quality online business.

There are plenty of different systems and businesses you can do to work from home within the www. I am only going to brush over the below two.

	Affiliate Marketing

You could also look at pay per click and google adwords. However get this wrong and it could cost you an arm and a leg. Get it right and you could well make a fortune. Unfortunately you have to have a nose for finding each gold mine to make money,and I have neither the time or the patience to look at this.

So what do you really need to get started in your business

Well it depends on what you intend doing here. Are you building websites or blogs.

If its blogs just take a look at wordpress for a couple of weeks and learn what you need to know about building a blog.I say a blog as it is best to build one before you jump to far ahead.

The good thing with wordpress is that google is a fan. This means that they will index a good quality blog built on this platform.

If its a website you could look at dreamweaver if you have deep pockets, This is a great software but one that needs to be updated on a yearly basis. It is not cheap at around £700 to get the package.

There is also a learning curve to master. However if you have the time and money then it is the best out there.

My recommendation is XsitePro. This is a superb piece of software for building websites, and this site is a prime example of what you can do. The manual comes in 2 parts. One is a simple to follow booklet style of about 200 pages that will take you from start to finish building your own website.

The other is a 1000 page manual that shows you everything that you need to know about the software.

To add to this they also have a monthly program that you can join. It currently costs around $30 a month for the membership with the first month free.

They also recently intorduced a course that takes you from the very first step to the last showing you by video exactly how to make the most of their software. It costs around $190 for a years subscription. You can view all of the videos online.

Web Hosting

We only recommend one company for web hosting. We have been with them for over 5 years and they have been outstanding. Hostgator are the No 1 web host company. They have recently upgraded there software so that it runs better and smoother. To be honest I never had a problem with the old software.

Hostgator has a solid connection with GoDaddy and this is superb when you need to build a website or blog and have it online immediately. With some companies it can take 24 hours to get your website online. With the combination of Hostgator and Godaddy you can be online in less than 5 minutes.....

Autoresponders

Again we only recommend one autoresponder. That is aWeber. We have been using aWeber for 2 years and they are superb. All of the autoresponders out there cost around the same money about $200 for a year.

An autoresponder is not an immediate necessity, but you will need one if you want to add news letters or a catch all email address.

With an aWeber account his is very simple to do. Even better is the fact that XsitePro has the software built in so that you can make this happen automatically.

Andy Williams - Produces good quality software and great videos on all the software that he has. Also has a great blog full of useful information and videos for you to learn from.

Jon Leger - In a league of his own with some of his software but not enough learning videos. However he provides superb knowledge and again does not spam you.

Wordpress Goldmine - Costs around $49 to join and sends you straight to the best forumon the web for videos and advice on how to make money online from blogging, google adsense and affiliate marketing.

John - XFactor - Adsense Master Course - A superb no bull course that shows you exactly how to make money building small niche websites with the simplest of ease. I like his ideas as he uses all the software I use.
