There is a simple way of checking out your keywords on Squidoo. Go to Google and the google search box. Type in the exact sentence as below.

If tou want to type in your own keyword to see what competition you have then do so.

With this below we are doing the following

• Site: - This tells google to search the site that we list only 
• www.Squidoo.Com - This is the site we are searching
• Affiliate Elite - This is the KEYWORD we are searching for

Site:www.squidoo.com/affiliate elite

What you will get back is a full list of pages. Not only that, the pages are in Squidoo's ranking order. This is how squidoo sees then from their side. This is superb information and shows you how well any keyword is ranking on squidoo.

If you do a search on google for that keyword you may find one of the squidoo lenses comes up on the first page. If they are good quality lenses they will almost certainly be on the first page.

Use this to find out what your competition is - and then write a note in there message box on each lense with your MAIN squidoo page as a link back to your lense...

Make sure when you write your squidoo lense that you make sure that you wait to approve the comments on your lenses.

That way you can cut out the competition to your websites..
