Web Design Software
Day 3
Hi ..
Choosing the right web design software can be a daunting
task. There are so many products out there, some free and some
paid for.
First lets get the free one's out of the way. With a free
piece of web design software the saying is correct You pay for
what you get. its free so do not expect to much from it. This
software will help you to design a website and will do other
small things inside it for you. But it will always come unstuck
at some point.
So unless you ar really broke, DO NOT choose a free web
design software.
Choosing a good Web Design package.
The No1 choice is Dreamweaver. This is the best software on
the market for designing websites. They look professional when
done correctly, and are very easy to change. Everything works
in sync with Adobe Software, especially Fireworks the graphics
package, so you can seemlessly add pieces together and build a
professional looking website in days.
Bad Points of Dreamweaver
The Price. Dreamweaver is very expensive. Look at paying
around $300 just for the Dreamweaver software. You then really
need to add Fireworks for another $250 to top it up for the
perfect package.
Learning to use Dreamweaver is a package on its own. This is
not the type of software where you can just open it up and get
started. There is a learning curve and a course to follow.
Dreamweaver provides you will a course wrapped up in the
package when you get started. But it is not that easy to
follow, especially if you are new to html and css.
Unless you have money and time to burn i would advise not to
waste your hard earned cash.
The No 2 choice is Xsitepro. This is what we use on 99% of
our website's. Why? because it is so easy to use, and learn,
and follow. You can be up and running inside 20 minutes with a
nice looking website starting to take shape.
The Price - Is a MAJOR PLUS. At a cost of $297, and
sometimes it is offered at a rediculous $197 it is the bargain
of the century. It is also the latest and most up to date
package on the market. Version 2 came out late June early July
2008.
