Starting Your Own Business

A little help and advice on how to go about when looking to start your own internet business

Starting Your Own Business....

Choosing The Right Niche

Before reading this make sure you have read the below article in the order listed. It is very important to get this right.

Once that is done then read on...

How do you choose the right niche. You know how to find keywords in your niche that you can try and break into and eventually dominate, but how do you know what niche to pick?

You may have no choice here if you are a member of a PLR monthly membership like PLR Pro as they send you out the niches month by month.

If this is the case they will already have done 90% of the work for you and you just have to cross the "T"s and dot the "I"s. If not you will need to do your own homework.

Here are some guidelines:

  • Don’t just pick a niche because you like it.
  • Dont pick a niche with tons of competition.

A prime example here is the weight loss niche.

In weightloss there is obviously a lot of money to be made, and plenty of products for you to choose from to add to your website. But you need to do your homework and know exactly what you are looking for.

If you want to target something in the health area, Look at sub niches that do not have anywhere near as much competition. Start with one like weight loss for kids, and then build up from there. You’ll have a much better chance.

  • Pick niches that are popular. Shocking, I know, but still
true. The XBox niche is a good example. It didn’t exist in a big
way five years ago, but now it’s huge. So are niches for specific
games, like Halo 3 or World of Warcraft. There is always a way to get into this market if you do the research.
  • Pick niches you know something about. This isn’t absolutely required (people have made fortunes in niches they knew nothing about when they started), but it helps to know at least a little something about your niche. The best way to learn about a niche is to go to the forums using google and look at what they are talking about. Once you have done your homework you should be able to build a niche and small sub niches under it to make a good profit from.

See? Not much science there. You just have to pick a niche, then
take a look into the forums of that niche like world of warcraft and determine if you can produce results.
