The basics for starting a website / adsense / affiliate business

First of all don't start on affiliate marketing until you have cracked the adsense market and understand the basics of how it works. Once you have got your adsense account set up, and you can build mini niche website's, then you can start in the affiliate marketing world.

Firstly - you need to understand what it is you are trying to achieve, and that is to start small and make an income from each and every mini website that you build.

The idea is to build what are called mini website's. Each one of these websites can take you no more than a day to build, and within 2 weeks should start earning you anything from a dollar a day onwards.

Read THIS from Jon Leger which is 2007 material to get to understand how it works, and how each mini website can earn you $1 or more.

You then find niches that are worth building a small website for. Don't jump straight into the big guns like asbestos or car insurance, as you will not get a look in until you know how to get your website's to the top of the charts. Take a look at a couple of our website's to get an idea of what they should look like, and what the google adsense adverts look like, and how they are placed. We have one on Forex Trading , or Dedicated Servers to see how we build a small website and make money from the google adverts. A website like this is available for you to purchase at less than 5 dollars, and takes no more than 30 mins to set up. It cannot get any easier.

You slowly build up a small arsenal of website's or blogs, around 50 to 100. Each one of these will bring you in a minimum of $1 a day. To build on this you then need to add fresh content, as explained by Jon Leger.

Its not difficult to write an article from scratch and make it your own. You go into google and type in the search box exactly what you want. From the hits you get take the content you need from the different pages. If you still dont have enough good content, go to Ezine Articles or GOArticles and grab some from them.

Then put together your articles for your niche, 10 articles as recommended. Follwed by a slow stream of extra articles 1 a week for each website.

This is where you will store your website's and where you will purchase them from.

Why GoDaddy ? Simply because it is so easy to buy website's all over the net and loose count of where you have them. Then when you come to renew after a year, you find they want $20 for renewal, or $10 or more to move it to godaddy.

Startat GoDaddy and build from here and you wont go wrong. They are normally the cheapest on the web to purchase from, and offer great discounts.

You can store all of your website's in one location, even if they are with different webhosts, which we will come to later.

Its a very easy interface, and very simple to follow and keep track of what you have.

Web Hosting

This is where you will keep track of your website's, and where all of your website's will be listed.

You can have as many web hosting accounts as you wish, and around 6 would be ideal as each one would have a unique IP address, so you could spread out your website's to different IPs and google would be happy.

However we are not rolling in cash at present, so 1 is good enough.
To start with I recommend you take a hostgator reseller account.

Now at $25 a month its not cheap. But neither is it expensive when you consider what you get. We bought and used 5 different web accounts prior to setting up our Hostgator Account. It is by far the easiest, best, and cost effective account around. Don't bother looking at anything else. We are not offering any others as none come anywhere near as good as this.

You can have as many website's as you want under this account, and its very easy to maintain.

I normally buy my website's through GoDaddy at $6 per dotcom. I already know what the server addresses are as they will always be the same, so I can register it very quickly with hostgator and record al the dets with godaddy and be up and running in about 20 minutes, sometimes quicker. GoDaddy and Hostgator have a special connection, and you normally find that the minute you register a website, you can have it running almost instantly. No other service offers anything this good.

Make sure that your web host has "Fantastico" in their package. If not don't bother with them.

This is the stuff that you will build your website's with. Believe it or not, its actually not that difficult to build websites these days, as the software does it all for you.

You still need to learn how to use it, as it holds your hand, but you do the work.

His software is excellent at building small quality niche websites.
However its not the easiest to start with and the final product can look a little strange unless you tie it in with another product, which costs around $150.

The learing curve is a couple of weeks long, and you need to be prepared to sit down and listen properly to the video's time and time again to take in what you need to do.

XsitePro - Approx $300

XsitePro software is still in Version 1. Version 2 is not yet here ( Jan 08) but it is just around the corner.

The old version is now a little dated, but is still good for building good looking basic website's to get your income from. It comes with a great manual that shows you exactly how to use it.

The manual also shows you exactly how to build a website from scratch, so its well worth its money.

If you buy the old version of Xsite Pro at the current price, you will get the new version upgrade for free. The old price will be about $100 cheaper than the new version, so it could be in your interest to buy now, before V2 hits the shelf.

Hyper VRE Gold

Dont bother with the FR,EE version of Hyper VRE. It does not offer enough goodies with it to make it viable. The paid version offers so much more.

This software follows a simple build it from scratch routine, and you dont actually have to build any webpages if you dont want to. It will do everything for you.

We have found it to be a good software with a nice easy to follow interface. Jon Leger has also done a nice video on it here for you to see.

The only problem we had with this was getting the RSS to work. It would not find them like he said it would, so doubts about the RSS section.

If you want to build your own website's from scratch this is the software to use.

I wont dwell on it to much as this will be out of the league of most people and will be bottom of the list.

Its the very best you can use, but has a large learning curve. I have been using this for 2 years, and still only scratch the surface of what it can do.

"There is no point trying to get to the top of the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tree as it will be a complete waste of your time.The only way you will get onto the first page of any single or double keyword is if it is obscure or a waste of time. If it is worth any sort of value you will need years and thousands of dollars to get there. The only other way is to pay, through Google Adwords and PPC. This can be a very expensive ride if you do not know what you are doing. This is never guaranteed as you may have cleaned the cache or have other affiliate links connected that you may not know about.

You can spend months and thousands of dollars/pounds trying to work out what is the best way to make it on the net. We have already done this. You can go from one guru to the next and receive thousands of responder emails advising you what to buy, and what are the best products.
They spin around your head all the time and you can spend hours just looking at what they are talking about. NOT RECOMMENDED!!

Some of the so called experts send you an email everyday, sometimes MORE. This becomes very annoying and we will tell you who we think you should avoid, and most Importantly WHY. It becomes quite obvious after a while when you have joined a few of the so called Super Affiliates lists. They will start to show up when a new product hits the market. You will see the same advert from them all appear again and again. If you are an affiliate marketer its no bad thing, as you can jump on the bandwagon and advertise the product yourself, unless it has only been offered to the select few, which can often be the case.

You may not agree, and decide to follow their course of action. That is entirely up to you.

BUT - There is not one single website or Internet expert out there that will help you from scratch to make your internet business come true without taking money off you.

 We are no different as we hope that you will either click on one of our adsense links or even better, buy a product or more from our advertisements.

We are here to show you exactly how to get from working for someone else, to being self employed in 6 months, to get registered with all the search engines and make a satisfactory income, that can only get better as time goes by and you get more traffic to your websites.
